THE Culinary Institute of Cagayan de Oro (CIC) held its first Grand Buffet Culminating Activity of the 8-month Culinary Arts with Holistic Nutrition Program on December 18-19, 2010.

The culminating activity was organized by the Batch 1 and 2 students of CIC. Batch 1 showcased “A Taste of Asia” theme at High Ridge, Aluba, Cagayan de Oro City on December 18.

The second batch did the same culminating activity on December 19, 2010 at Country Village Hotel, showcasing a “Hawaiian Dinner Party.”

The Grand Buffet was conceptualized to proudly present for the 1st time in public, the high level of culinary skills learned by CIC students under its intensive 8 – month program. The events were a success as the students showcased their creativity and expertise.

Student chefs

The Culinary Institute of Cagayan de Oro (CIC) held its 4th Toque Ceremony on December 12, 2010 at Country Village Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. The ceremony started with a Mass with Fr. Nick Reforial, SSP as the celebrant. The Toque Ceremony followed afterwards.
This ceremony marks a new stage for the Batch 5 student chefs. The wearing of the toque and the chef’s uniform is their passport to cook in the kitchen. The same ceremony was given to the previous batches.
